WHAT IS MICRO-NEEDLING?
- Dermaroller or micro-needling is a procedure that involves the usage of an instrument called a derma roller to induce micro channels into the skin.
- A therapy of recent times offers an excellent mode for creating micro-injuries to the epidermis through a series of treatments resulting in regeneration and collagen induction.
WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE TREATMENT?
- Immediately after, your skin will be red and look like you have a mild sunburn. This dissipates over several hours. Sun protection is necessary.
DOES IT HURT?
- I use a very effective topical anesthetic to numb the skin, making the treatment very comfortable.
CAN AREAS OTHER THAN THE FACE BE TREATED?
- Yes. Many patients choose to treat the face but abdominal stretch marks, neck, hands, and surgical/injury/trauma scars on the body can also be treated.
WHAT SKIN PROBLEMS CAN BE TREATED WITH MICRONEEDLING?
- Microneedling is extremely effective for treating: acne scars, trauma/surgical scars, fine lines, deeper wrinkles, skin laxity, sagging skin, rough skin texture, alopecia, sun damage, open pore, and stretch marks.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
- You will see results with the first treatment, with cumulative results over time. Most people need a series of 3-6 treatments, and then choose to do occasional maintenance treatments.
